I have had a similar problem for a few months, and have not found a fix. I have done lots of experimenting, upgrading and downgrading! I initially thought bad map discs or damaged drive. I recently re installed my Blaupunkt New York in my 86 NA. This was the original radio/cassette. I installed a bluetooth adapter on it and wanted the original look of the radio. The original install had a metal frame that clicked into the console/dash space then the radio slides into that and clicks in with spring tabs on both sides.
